Studio Notes / Information from the Artists!
It has been a pleasure reviewing your research from this semester and catching up with your blogs. I look forward to watching your research and documentation evolve in this new medium. Many aspects of an artist blog are subjective and a matter of choice. There are considerations each participant of this workshop must consider and include to meet this essential requirement of the course.
1. Final, edited version of your Artist Statement
2. Jpgs of your Portfolio of your body of work created this semester. Include all relevant information:
size, materials, concept, title, chronology, influences, evolution, etc. Feel free to post any additional work you've created as a response to our last crit!
3. Research links to any articles, artists, exhibitions, workshops, experiences which have influenced your work this term and the work on view, specifically
4. Highlights of your media experiments, especially those most relevant to the work you showed at our final critique
5. Finally, take time to comment on each person's blog, make suggestions and ask questions.
You will receive an email assessment of your work this semester to your VCU email account. Please note, you must have a VCU email address and pw to access your final grade and VCU transcripts. Questions? Please comment below.
If anyone would like to meet at Lamplighter tomorrow at 4:30 for any reason, please comment here. Lamplighter is on Addison Street, just south of Cary. They have a great picnic tables under their covered porch and wondeful wifi so bring your laptop if you would like to meet up.
All Blog Updates and posts are due tomorrow in order for me to review them prior to the last date to submit grades. If you need more time please
contact me ASAP.

I am having trouble commenting on either of the blogs listed. I need to create a word press account for one and I don't know what the problem is with the other. I will try to cut and paste onto this blog under the appropriate URL . Is it unreasonable to ask that in the future everyone use the same social media format?
Commenting on this blog is fine - as I've done. My experience is that people can set their preferences one way or the other - where anyone can comment, or only wp users can comment. Blogger has many options, as well. If one limits the access the public has to their blog, it limits the potential of the blog's impact... These criteria and protocols can evolve as one becomes more comfortable blogging!
Super! I really liked the white template I saw yesterday, Andrew!.. Have you changed it or is it because I am looking at it via my iPad?
Also, Andrew would like to get together at Lamplighter toast at 4:30. Is anyone else available? You could bring your laptop and get direct help/feedback with your blog as well as anything else you'd like us to look at. I don't see this taking more than an hour or so. Please respond to this comment regarding your preference.
Thank you for the offer. I would love to if I could but I have a meeting after school, which I can't avoid. I am hoping to have all the essentials posted by the end of the day. I've switched to Blogger and I'm getting on much better. I'm going to get a couple more posts up then I'll post the link before continuing with it.
