mixed media study
It has been a real pleasure working with each of you this semester and witnessing your progress in your chosen mixed media practice. I hope it has been a productive term for each of you. As the week comes to an end please review YOUR final post to this blog, which announces your blog address. You'll find my suggestions on how to improve your blog thee. Make any changes to your blog or add info to this one ASAP in order for me to turn in your grades. Please note that at the bottom of this post you'll find a label for each of you. If you click on each name you can see the collection of posts each person made this semester to this blog - it is the summary and documentation of your research and participation in the course. Is it complete? If not, now is the time to address this! If you click on your name under each image you'll fins a link to your blog. If it is incomplete, now is the time to update it. Carpe Diem!

Everyone made such progress this term- I look forward to seeing your studio practice continue to evolve. Please note, if you would like more time to pursue the constructs you began this semester I will be teaching a mixed media summer course in July for VCU. The summer classes are 10 days, from 9ish to 5(ish) Monday through Thursday, 4 days a week. We spend much more time working together in the studio during the summer with a few field trips built in. Course registration has begun - please let me know if you are interested or have any questions about VCU's MIS summer courses.

In addition, please take the time to email me your response to the questions below.
Many thanks!
1. Please identify the most memorable experience you had in this course. Why?
2. What media or artist is significant and new to you as a result of this course? Why?
3. Are you excited or disappointed by the creative work you did this semester? Why?
4. In the future, if you could choose between regular weekly studio hours with your classmates or regular field trips which introduce you to new art, art professionals and ideas, which would you choose? (In a full time grad program, there is time for both as you would be a full time grad student)
5. Finally, please share with me the experience you feel you gained the most from this semester and any you feel were a waste of your time.
6. Did you meet your goals? Exceed your goals? Change your goals? Explain.
Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions. Please email them to my VCU email address.
I will send an email to each of you which includes a general assessment of your work this semester and a reminder of your goals! Please check your VCU email to find this early next week - and remember that you must retrieve your grades from your VCU account, they will not be mailed. Instructions are posted on the blog in the link list.
