Pond in the wood

Here, at last, is a study that I got into! It’s acrylic on rice paper, torn up and stuck on watercolor paper (7" x 7.5"). Then I used candy wrappers, lace and black gesso. I'd like to do this on a board, 20" x 24". I love the way the rice paper tears. I thought it might be too delicate, but it's tough and responsive. And I like the texture of the foil wrappers. When I make it on a bigger surface, the scale of these materials’ texture may be less appropriate but we’ll see.
