Sarah current experiments

I am experimenting on Yupo paper. The jury is still out on how I feel about it. The first image (the lighter one which is unfinished) is acrylic on yupo. The second is watercolor on Yupo. Working with acrylic this way has been very interesting, not sure I like it. I am having trouble with the colors muddying. I am thinning with water, I will try acrylic medium next.

I would like to know what you think!

when you purchase your transparent medium for the acrylics be sure to get the kind that increases the flow of the paint. It will make a huge difference, I think.

I like the transparency of them. They seem almost liquid...very flowy. I think I like the acrylic more, but I love the darks in the watercolor. Have you thought about mixing the two?
