Retta 3 media experiments

Worked over old work using oil stick, chalk, and gold paper. On paper.

Ink and paint with paper towel relief and peeled paint attached. On brown cardboard

Torn paper collage from political poster. On the poster.
All are 5 x 7 inches.

There is a captivating rhythm in the top that comes to a lull as the series progresses, like a dance. I look forward seeing which direction you'll turn!

The first two look trapped. Like they need to break out of that confined space. I really like #3, can't figure it out (ripped, drawn, poster?) but like the space in it. Christine

Great energy in the torn poster. Interesting that you have them numbered from bottom to top. I have been doing the opposite in my comments. Oh well......

I enjoy the contrast of color in #2 as well as the elongated facial features. I also like the interaction of the curves of the "torn" looking gold edge with the curves in the face.
