Casey's Media Experiments

#1: Watercolor Crayon on wet watercolor paper.
#2: Elmers Glue and White chalk pastel on grey construction paper. I really enjoyed drawing with glue and would love some suggestions on how to take this idea further.
#3: Embossed on copper tooling foil, with black tempera.

Number 3 is my favorite, not just because of the interesting look of the copper, but because of the many lines, which give movement. I would love to see more line/texture in the other two.

I love the progression and sequential nature of this series. I encourage you to pursue creating a few collages which can be used for embossing paper, creating relief prints, etc!

I like the use of negative space in all three, but agree w/Sarah that the many lines in #3 add more movement and texture.

Glue would also work well with tissue paper.

I love the way the lines in the background echo the limbs of the tree in number 3!
